Minic Precision, Inc. was established in 1992 to meet the needs of electronics assemblers requiring precision contacts and guide hardware. We started operations with Swiss automatic cam machines manufactured by Tornos and Bechler in Switzerland. These machines are world-renowned for their ability to create precision parts with tight tolerances. During the next few years, we worked diligently to build our reputation for high quality products and engineering design.
Our growth blossomed in the ensuing years as we expanded our customer base to include the United States Military along with the automotive, medical and aerospace industries. In 1998, Minic Precision, Inc. built a state of the art environmentally controlled facility in Spring Grove, IL. This expansion allowed us to update our manufacturing capabilities to include various Tornos and Citizen multi-axis Swiss CNC machines.
In early 2002, we started the process of implementing a world-class quality and process tracking system. We installed a software driven quality program to allow us to efficiently monitor quality and plant operations. In March of 2003, we were awarded certification and registration to the ISO 9001:2000 standard by the prestigious quality auditing firm of Entela, Inc. Since that time, we have focused on continually improving our quality systems and have upgraded to the latest version of this certification, ISO 9001:2015, through our registrar UL-DQS.
Since our founding over 30 years ago, we have always been at the leading edge of our constantly changing industry. Our teamwork philosophy has enabled us to work with our customers to adapt to their growing requirements. This included the redesign of products to become RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant as well as ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) registered and compliant.
As Minic Precision, Inc. has grown through the years, we have never lost sight of our commitment to manufacturing the highest quality precision products. Working as a team with our customers, we will continue to facilitate their ability to be competitive in the ever-changing world marketplace.
Over the years, we have been represented in multiple industry magazines. Click the links below to learn more about our approach to Swiss machining:
